Located between Montefalco and Bevagna (both listed by “The Most Beautiful Small Towns” Association – www.borghitalia.it) and just off the Strada del Sagrantino, the inn boasts a refined beauty and tranquility aimed to delight the discerning traveler.

Genius Loci is the gratifying result of a detailed restoration of an 1880’s farmhouse in which antique stones and bricks, hand-hewn oak beams and terracotta floors have been brought back to their original splendor. The views capture the best of Umbria, with its pristine landscape of rolling hills, charming medieval hill towns, stretches of lush vineyards, olive groves, majestic oaks, and fields of sunflowers.

Find your favorite spot to unwind at Genius Loci: curl up with a book by the fireplace in the stone-walled Reading Room; share life’s laughter with your friends and family while sipping a cappuccino or a cocktail in the inviting bar area built around a 1450’s grape press; discover the local Sagrantino vintage in the winery connected to a restored 1880’s cistern; or simply bask in the sun by the panoramic pool.
Genius Loci follows a B&B plan. Begin your day with a full European buffet breakfast including an ample selection of fresh breads, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, cereals and pastries. End your day with a savory dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants where a host of local specialties can be enjoyed: we are happy to make recommendations and assist you with reservations.

Genius Loci welcomes guests to eight elegantly refined “rooms with a view” in which modern comforts blend seamlessly with the warm, rustic elegance of fine antique furnishings from the family estate. Every window offers sweeping views of rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves and the picturesque hill towns of Assisi, Spello and Montefalco.

Each of our air-conditioned rooms feature European-King-size beds with superior quality bed linens. All rooms have a private, fully-tiled bathroom with fine Italian marble vanities, hair dryers and plush terry towels. Amenities such as LCD TVs, CD players, wireless internet, direct phone lines, fresh flowers and daily housekeeping services are included to help make your stay more convenient and pleasurable.
